How to Know You are in Abusive Relationship

Abusive relationships in Kenya are on the increase but few people want to speak about it. Abusive relationship is common among children, teenagers and adults. Everyday hear of men and women abused by their spouses. One major observation is that abusive relationship among teenagers and emerging adults is on the increase.

We need to take initiative to educate our people about the value of respect and characteristics of unhealthy relationship and make deliberate efforts to equip everybody with skills to develop and maintain healthy relationships. Abusive behaviours may look normal but are not cool at all. By recognizing abusive behaviours one can stay out of trouble.

Delivering Children From the Negative Effects of Media

I appreciate my followers in this forum. I have been travelling round the country addressing different forums for parents, teachers, students and other others on pertinent and emerging challenges affecting our life in Kenya today. Am happy for those posting questions and topics to be addressed on this page.. One of the topic many parents are asking is about media and children behaviours. This is why am writing this information to empower my fellow citizens of negative effects of media on children and youth.

How to Know a Child with Conduct Disorder and Save Him from Becoming Jail Bird in Adulthood

There are many parents worried of their children behaviours. I have been receiving children suspended from schools due to discipline problems. Out of every five students with discipline issues four have conduct disorder according to the psychological assessment. My greatest concern is that many parents and children caretakers do not know how to identify conduct disorder in children. Children with conduct disorder are mostly labelled difficult and undisciplined. What is surprising is the fact that the same people who label them difficult are the same people who make the child difficult through child rearing practices.
